For the 2017 NAPCA Convention, we return to the beautiful Renaissance Esmeralda Resort and Spa in Indian Wells, California. The convention will take place on April 19-22, 2017, and all NAPCA Members in all categories, their guests, retired NAPCA Members, and individuals invited by NAPCA are invited to attend.
IMPORTANT TRAVEL SCHEDULE NOTICE: The 2017 convention continues several important schedule changes that were implemented last year based on feedback from the membership. You will want to account for these when making your travel plans. By popular demand from our members, we have moved the signature party that normally takes place on Thursday night to Wednesday evening, which is the first day of the convention. This party will take place at the hotel and will follow the President's Reception. Also, the President's Reception will start at 6:00 pm and at 6:30 pm we have a special motivational, inspirational, and leadership presentation by Jeff Gordon, one of the most decorated drivers in NASCAR history. With four Sprint Cup Series championships, three Daytona 500 titles, and the third most wins in NASCAR history, Gordon is a highly sought-after speaker by large companies and executive teams. He will speask to us courtesy of Axalta Coating Systems, this year's speaker sponsor. Therefore, you will want to ensure that your flight will allow you to arrive at the resort with time to freshen up before the President's Reception starts so as you will not miss this dynamic speaker. Golf will take place on Thursday (with a cocktail reception and dinner on your own later that evening), the Grand Banquet is on Friday evening, and then the Associate and Regular Member meetings take place Saturday morning. At noon on Saturday, there is a jeep tour excursion for those who desire to participate, which will run until about 5:00 pm. To ensure you can attend the Saturday meetings you will want to schedule your departing flights for Saturday afternoon. However, if you intend to stay and join us on the Saturday excursion you will likely need to schedule your departing flight for Sunday. All told, please pay careful attention to the convention schedule that is included in the attached convention packet.
